Residents within the work zone will need to enter and exit at Thach Avenue during this time. Crews will be in place to help residents access their homes. Payne Street south of Hare Avenue will be accessible via Hare Avenue and Armstrong Street.

UPDATE, Feb. 7, 10:45 a.m.: Crews are working on emergency water main repairs on Payne Street and Armstrong Street today, Feb. 7. Payne Street is now expected to be closed between Thach and Hare avenues through 3 p.m. One lane of Armstrong Street between Thach and Hare avenues will also be closed through 3 p.m.

Feb. 6: AUBURN, Ala.- Payne Street will be closed between Thach and Hare avenues on Friday, Feb. 7, while crews install a temporary asphalt patch following an emergency water main repair. Work is expected to take place between 6:30 a.m. and noon.

Residents within the work zone will need to enter and exit at Thach Avenue during this time. Crews will be in place to help residents access their homes. Payne Street south of Hare Avenue will be accessible via Hare Avenue and Armstrong Street.

Motorists are advised to use caution in the area and to take alternate routes to avoid delays.
